Impax Asset Management Group plc1 ("Impax"), the AIM listed investment manager focused on the environmental sector, has been named SRI/Sustainable Investment Manager of the Year at the Financial News Awards for Excellence in Institutional Asset Management.
Judging for the award was conducted by 50 senior members of the asset management, investment consultancy and pension scheme industries. Impax is the first ever winner of this new award-category, in which five businesses were shortlisted.

The Financial News Awards for Excellence in Institutional Asset Management have been running for eight years and aim to provide the definitive view of the main players in the European industry. The 2009 Awards and Dinner took place last night (6th October) at Banqueting House, Whitehall, London.
