Impax strengthens its private equity infrastructure team with new Managing Director

Senior appointment to develop pipeline of renewable energy opportunities

Impax Asset Management ("Impax"), the investment manager focused on the renewable energy and related environmental sectors, has announced the appointment of Daniel von Preyss as Managing Director of Private Equity for the Impax New Energy Investors LP fund ("NEI").
Daniel will be responsible for leading transactions, assisting with exits and trading with buyers of renewable power generation within NEI.

Daniel has close to 20 years of business and senior transactional experience with blue chip companies within the energy and utility sectors. Most recently, Daniel was responsible for Babcock & Brown's Northern European infrastructure activities where he focused on regulated utilities, gas storage and broader power generation. Peter Rossbach, Head of Private Equity at Impax said: "Daniel is a seasoned independent transactor whose wealth of experience and knowledge will be vital as we develop new renewable energy investment opportunities across Europe. It is testament to the strength of Impax's private equity track record to attract such senior talent. I would like to welcome Daniel to the team and look forward to working together."

The appointment of Mr von Preyss brings the NEI investment team to a total of seven members, who are supported by Impax's back office team.
Daniel von Preyss said: "Impax has built up an impressive portfolio of strongly performing, quality assets and I am very pleased to join such a highly experienced and specialised team. The Impax New Energy Investors Fund is widely respected within the industry as being one of the best performing vehicles in the renewable infrastructure space. I look forward to maintaining this cutting edge and working with Peter and the team in developing new projects."

Daniel, aged 45, holds a masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne and studied International Business at Sophia University in Tokyo.

Impax New Energy Investors LP ("NEI") is a private equity fund targeting investments in projects in the New Energy Sector, across Europe.
